Tim’s own lived experience with trauma, ADHD and mental health challenges, was deepened by his ‘bounced-back’ from a 2016 catastrophic car crash. For 10 years Tim had been a suicide prevention trainer and has 20+ years experience as a crisis response volunteer, including a peer-support crisis-line for First Responders. Tim’s compassion guides his therapeutic approaches, including Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
Now as a Registered Psychotherapist – Qualifying, Tim returns to his full-time counselling role to support the psychosocial-emotional well-being and resiliency of families, couples, and adults (teens 15 & older), after a 30-year career helping organizations enhance workplace relationships. In addition to recently becoming a certified leadership coach and completing a graduate degree in Counselling Psychology, Tim has provided 200+ hours (often using trauma-informed therapy practices) for youth and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or relationship conflicts.
